Promethazine is indicated as an antihistamine. It is used for the allergic reactions, anti-emetic for motion sickness, as a sedative and as an anti-tussive
Dosage: As an antihistinic - 20 mg to 50 mg daily by the intramuscular route.
As an Anesthetic Premedication- 25 mg to 100 mg

Sedation, inability to concentrate, dizziness, hypotension, muscular weakness, tinnitus, elation and depression, irritability, nightmares, anorexia, difficulty in unrination, dryness of the mouth.
