Class Local Anesthetic/Anti-Arrhythmic
Indications
Lignocaine is used as a local anesthetic in infiltration field block, nerve block and spinal anesthesia. As a local anesthetic it has an action of intermediate duration which can be increased by adding adrenaline. Arrhythmias, especially frequent ventricular extra systole.
Side Effects Dizziness, paraesthesia, confusion, respiratory depression, and convulsions.
